Two new care homes are to be built in Farnham and Kidlington for Porthaven Care Homes, a company that specialises in the delivery of care homes for the elderly including residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Being delivered by Clugston Construction, the projects worth £11m and will see the construction and fit-out of two modern facilities each including up to 70 beautifully designed bedrooms all with ensuite wet rooms, communal services comprising of cafés, hair salon and nail bar, cinema room, leisure and wellness rooms, as well as several lounges and dining rooms. Both facilities will also have a private dining room for special family occasions.

Danny Dawson, regional manager for Clugston’s West Midlands office, said: “We are delighted to have been selected by Porthaven Care Homes to deliver these schemes and look forward to building a strong relationship with them. We are also looking forward to working with local suppliers to bring these fantastic facilities to completion.”

Once constructed the facilities will provide residents with a modern living environment, along with state-of-the-art communal amenities and flexible space.

The Farnham project is expected to be completed by July 2017 and the Kidlington project is due for completion by August 2017. Show suites will be open to members of the public from Spring 2017.
