Care provider invests in remote monitoring tech to support vulnerable people
A home care service that also provides wellbeing services, The Crescent is now offering 24-hour remote monitoring equipment to provide extra reassurance and support to vulnerable members of the community.
The Crescent will offer a new suite of services from personal alarm provider IndeMe.
This assistive technology makes independent living possible and has solutions tailored to support users with a range of needs including frailty, epilepsy, dementia, learning disabilities or those likely to require regular assistance with issues such as falling. The hub is connected to a specialist remote monitoring centre that can alert the user and caregivers or emergency services when required.

Knowing our clients can feel safe and secure in their home 24 hours a day means the world to us, and we know it takes the pressure off families who are struggling to get through another lockdown distanced from the loved ones who need them most.”
The system is made up of an easy-to-use hub, which plugs directly into the user’s telephone line, and an alarm pendant, which can be worn around the neck or wrist.
When users need assistance, they press the pendant alarm button and a member of the IndeMe Care and Response Team will answer the call. They will then talk to the user via the IndeMe Hub to determine what type of help is required – whether it be a call to a family member, neighbour or the emergency services.
