Clinical Product Specialist appointed to help pressure care solutions manufacturer develop product range
MediSmart Technologies, a UK manufacturer of innovative pressure area care products, has appointed Annie Allsopp – a qualified nurse and midwife with specific experience in tissue viability – as its Clinical Product Specialist.
Established in 2017 as the sister company to MJS Healthcare, MediSmart Technologies develops smart pressure care solutions to meet the needs of healthcare teams and patients.
Speaking with David Beavis, Sales Director of MediSmart Technologies, he explained the need to develop and expand the MediSmart team following an increase in demand for its ranges.
“I have worked with Annie, a qualified nurse and mid wife with specific experience in tissue viability, for over 10 years in a previous setting,” he told AT Today.
“It is great that she has joined us as a Clinical Product Specialist enhancing the development path that we are on.”
Annie’s new role will be extensive and varied, including visiting a range of clinicians, therapists and distributors to outline and demonstrate the benefits of working with a specialist UK manufacturer.
She will also play an integral role in developing projects that will have an emphasis on the clinical aspects and training advantages of dealing with MediSmart Technologies, continued David.
“We have recently received a lot of interest with regard to the pressure care mattresses and pumps that we have developed and manufactured as well as the innovative MicroCell Companion ultra-low-profile surface to retro fit onto rise/recline chairs,” he said.
“This, along with other developments to come, is why we have appointed someone as experienced as Annie.
“Annie has joined MediSmart Technologies at an exciting time of development since we have seen a growing increase of companies reviewing their supply chain and interested in talking to a UK specialist manufacturer.”
