Demand from carers leads to new awareness campaign of specialist car seating for disabled children
RiDC (The Research Institute for Disabled Consumers) and Driving Mobility have collaborated to launch an awareness campaign focusing on specialist car seats for disabled children, aiming to ensure children who require postural assistance in a car benefit from greater safety and comfort.
Prompted by an increasing demand from carers and families with disabled children, the Research Institute is introducing qualified and unique information about specialist car seats and harnesses.
Driving Mobility will help support the campaign by encouraging the 20 independent organisations it oversees to share the information with service users and raise awareness of independent car seat research.
Additionally, the campaign will signpost towards specialist suppliers such as JCM Seating, R82 and Recaro, as well as key product feature information and estimated prices.
