Fife Council awards stairlift contract to specialist offering a personal local service

Advanced Stairlifts, an independent stairlift dealer based in Scotland, has recently won another stairlift supply and maintenance contract with its local authority.

The stairlift specialist has been supplying and maintaining the straight stairlift contract within Fife Council for the past six years.

Recently, the contract was re-tendered and Advanced Stairlifts has now retained the straight stairlift contract, citing that the council was looking for a personal, quality service over the lowest price.

Fife Council also awarded the mobility retailer with its curved stairlift contract. This is an additional 750 curved stairlifts for the company to service and maintain for the next four years along with the supply of all new curved stairlifts.

Commenting on winning the stairlift contract, Laurie Ewart, Company Director at Advanced Stairlifts, told AT Today: “Winning this contract shows that the small independent local dealers can still win contracts based on quality of products offered and personal local service. We’re not the cheapest but we are the best.”

Advanced Stairlifts works closely with occupational therapists (OTs) and other healthcare professionals responsible for commissioning mobility equipment on behalf of clients.
