Medstrom pressure ulcers webinar image

After presenting four webinars so far in 2021, Medstrom is continuing its educational series and hosting a webinar in November about pressure ulcers. The webinar is aimed at healthcare professionals involved with pressure area care.

Entitled ‘Pressure Ulcers: The Human Cost’, the webinar is taking place on 16th November 2021 from 2pm-3.30pm.

The webinar is CPD-certified and will enable attendees to gain 1.5 hours of participation towards their revalidation. Interested participants can register here

Three guest speakers with particular expertise for an aspect of tissue viability will share their insights in the upcoming webinar:

  1. Alison Schofield, honorary Tissue Viability Nurse York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Clinical Manager Mole Digital
  2. Emily Haesler, Methodologist and Editor in Chief of the International Pressure Ulcer Guideline (2014 and 2019 editions), Associate Professor Curtin University, Australia and La Trobe University
  3. Alison Parnham, Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nottingham CityCare Social Care Enterprise and Practitioner Health Lecturer, University of Nottingham

Questions can be raised in the remaining part of the webinar with all speakers.

Medstrom’s webinars provide a space for thought-provoking discussions, and the exchange of evidence-based research and practical experiences amongst healthcare professionals and their peers.

Last month, the specialist hospital beds manufacturer hosted a webinar about the impact of falls among the elderly population.

Medstrom is the only independent provider of bed management services to the NHS, managing over one-quarter of the UK’s acute bed and mattress fleet. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Medstrom has supported the NHS and Health Boards across the UK and Ireland with the supply of specialist products and services, with the aim of improved outcomes for both the patient and the caregiver.
