In the latest episode of DIY SOS, the Geberit team helped Matthew, who in 2015 was diagnosed with a brain tumour, undergoing 14 months of gruelling treatment before finally being given a positive prognosis.

To be able to return home and be cared for by his parents Leigh and Sue, the house needed to be adapted, to future proof his care and accommodation. The DIY SOS team redesigned the entire house to provide Matthew with greater independence.  The work included a downstairs extension with space for a carer to stay and all the bespoke care provision that Matthew needs with physio space, social areas and a wet room complete with a Geberit AquaClean 8000plus Care shower toilet.
The transformational work done to the house will help Matthew enjoy a much greater sense of independence when using the bathroom. The Geberit AquaClean 8000plus Care shower toilet incorporates the very latest technology to make operation simple by the user or care giver.

“We were pleased to be able to help with the latest BBC DIY SOS project, which are always for very worthy causes, helping families faced with life-changing circumstances,” commented Geberit Marketing and Products Director, Brent Hudson. “We hope Matthew and his family get a lot of benefit out of the Geberit AquaClean Care shower toilet and wish them all the best for the future.”
