The Able Label – a new brand of easier dressing, high-street fashion womenswear – has released their latest Spring/Summer 2016 collection.

The fashion brand aims to make dressing easier for the those who have reduced dexterity, impaired mobility or diminished cognitive skills whilst still ensuring pieces are stylish and allow the wearing to maintain a sense of identity. Features such as Easy touch Velcro fastenings instead of fiddly buttons help those with physical difficulties and the colour co-ordinated tape and Velcro fastenings inside, aid those who may have cognitive difficulties.

The_Able_LableThe Spring/Summer 2016 range combines corals, seaspray blues and nautical stripes. New fabrics include easy-care cooler cottons, super soft viscose/elastane, and flattering Italian fleece that all have extra ‘give’ to aid getting into and out of garments and provide extra comfort with a quality feel.

The range is the brainchild of Katie Ellis, a former fashion buyer, who was inspired to launch the line after witnessing her grandmothers struggle with Parkinson’s. Drawing on this personal experience, Katie sought to address the need for adaptive clothing that increases independence whilst also appealing to a wider, stylish audience.

Actress and former model Joanna Lumley commented: “Many congratulations to Katie for this range of easy to get into clothes which are stylish and attractive and which I hope will become the mainstay of many wardrobes.”

The Able Label has also released a number of instructional videos, demonstrating the accessible features of a number of pieces, which can be seen HERE

Each style can be purchased in sizes 8-22, with prices starting from £25 – all clothing is also eligible for VAT relief.
