According to organisers CloserStill Media, as anticipation builds once again for The Occupational Therapy Show, there are many delights in store for all members of the occupational therapy team.

With only weeks to go, the completely free event is full to bursting with motivational lectures, practical workshops and live demonstrations presented by speakers at the very forefront of occupational therapy. Among those headlining the exceptional educational programme at will be:

A new series of seminars will provide an introduction to Research in Practice in occupational therapy.  All the presentations have the strapline ‘All you need to know about….’ and will cover key issues in qualitative research, systematic reviews, becoming a researcher and translating research into clinical practice for Occupational Therapists.

Chaired by Avril Drummound, her session will provide an introduction and general overview of research in occupational therapy. She will outline the current situation and suggest future directions. The importance of providing evidence to underpin practice will be underlined and significant trials presented in detail. The relevance of research to all occupational therapists will be highlighted.

In The Paediatric Trail there will be an action packed programme full of relevant CPD opportunities, as well as an exhibitor list dedicated to paediatric products and services.

The Poster Zone will be located on the exhibition floor and will display posters submitted by OT professionals from NHS Trusts, private health care, local authorities and many more. It will continue to celebrate and provide a format for individuals and teams within the OT profession to share best practice and network with colleagues from across the UK. Poster entries are open to all sectors of OT irrespective of career level or place of work. Entries will be accepted from all OT professionals.
