Designed to give users a sense of adventure and a fun way to get out around, Scoozy will be showcasing its visionary mobility scooter at independent living exhibition Rehacare in Germany.

Combining design, technology and intelligence, the company says its mobility aid focuses on an attractive design for users, which takes away the stigma surrounding mobility devices and disability. Scoozy added that the scooter focuses on giving individuals comfort, ease of use and safety.

An important feature in designing the scooter, says the company, was taking away the steering column, as it gives users a sense of openness.

Other features include: LED lights for day and night, smart range estimation to let users know how far they can drive, a variety of colours and accessories for customisation, a range of up to 100km, ventilated seating, and 16inch wheels to navigate uneven terrains and obstacles.

Available from early 2019, Scoozy will be showing its pre-production scooter at its stand and giving a demonstration. Founder and CEO of Scoozy, Job van de Kieft, will also be available at the show to discuss the scooter.

In addition, there is a smart app for Scoozy, which allows people to see where their mobility aid is parked, its status, make payments, and have service and maintenance taken care of. Leases and rentals can also be made through the app.

Before market introduction, Scoozy has also received several awards, including the ASML Young Makers Award, and was a finalist in the Rabobank Sustainable Innovation Award and the Accenture Innovation Awards.

Founders of Scoozy Job van de Kieft and Jan Willem come from the world of solar car racing and their goal is to create functional and attractive mobility scooters.

Scoozy can be visited on stand D47, hall 4 at Rehacare which takes place from the 26th to the 29th of September.
