Supra UK will be showcasing its range of access and care solutions to occupational therapists (OTs) at the Occupational Therapy Adaptation Conference (OTAC) on Wednesday 24th April.

Taking place at the Weetwood Hall Estate & Conference Centre in Leeds, the conference brings together suppliers and OTs, providing an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge around adaptations and equipment.

The aim of the event is to improve the industry as a whole and provide better value to clients. Visitors to the show will be able to discover Supra UK’s product offering and meet its team of experts to discuss the care and security options available.

During the event, healthcare professionals will be able to witness the WIWE product. The WIWE uses a unique intelligent algorithm, which evaluates the properties of the ECG wave to calculate if there is a risk of Atrial Fibrillation related stroke and sudden cardiac arrests (SCA). The handheld device is designed for personal use and allows remote patient monitoring with the opportunity for results to be sent to a GP or specialist when further analysis is required.

Another solution that visitors to the show will be able to view is the Supra C500 KeySafe. The KeySafe provides a secure method of externally storing keys to a property and allows anyone who has regular authorised visitors to the home, such as carers, nurses or family members, to provide safe and secure access. This means individuals do not have to answer the door to strangers and the code needed to access the keys can be changed at any time to ensure peace of mind.

Nicola Parsons, Head of Marketing for Supra UK, commented: “We are thrilled to once again be part of OTAC.  It is a great opportunity for us to showcase our products and demonstrate that safety and security are at the core of what we do.  Visitors can learn how our products can save an endless amount of time and resources for health professionals.”

Finally, the One Touch Pendant, a personal monitoring system, will be on stand for visitors to the show to experience first-hand. This product allows the wearer to travel outside of their home.

It operates using a roaming SIM and allows the individual to alert up to three contacts in the event of an emergency and activates a two-way conversation with the responder, who can warn relevant family members or care professionals.

Supra UK will be on stand O17 on at OTAC Leeds.
