Care Protect app

Specialist care company Care Protect has expanded its services with a new smartphone app which aims to give care providers an additional platform to self-monitor CCTV footage of clients.

It is hoped that the new app will give carers another means of safeguarding their patients and ensure that they are well cared for.

The app offers a range of helpful features for carers, including monitoring, reporting, advice, recommendations and training.

Ben Wilson, Business Development Director for Care Protect, said: “The whole sector acknowledges the need to ensure that residents are safe and well-cared for and cameras are becoming a key part of safeguarding. However, it is important that this is done properly considering the various legislation in place ensuring the privacy and dignity of residents and staff.

“Whilst the installation and ongoing maintenance of camera equipment with secure cloud-based links, plus ongoing independent expert monitoring, is the core service Care Protect offers. It has become clear that different levels of support and involvement are required by different operators.”

The service for Care Protect is designed to provide support to suit varied needs.

Ben added: “The support varies from the core monitoring and reporting process through to proactive advice, recommendations and training around quality matters.

“The self-monitoring phone app offers an alternative to the full reviewed service and we believe it will be well received by care providers.”

Care Protect specialises in solutions that promote sustainable and consistent care delivery in the healthcare sector by utilising technology alongside secure data services.

Its products are designed to provide carers, the patients and their families greater peace of mind.
