New bariatric chair to debut at 2019 Care Show offering comprehensive range of positions for care, comfort and independent living
Repose Furniture, a manufacturer of bespoke seating solutions, will be debuting its Arden bariatric chair on stand A70 at this year’s Care Show, which takes place at the Birmingham NEC on October 9th and 10th.
The Arden boasts four-motor mechanism which enables independent movements for the four different functions of the chair: tilt-in-space, backrest recline, leg rest elevation and rise, which combine to provide a comprehensive range of positions for care, comfort and independent living.
With an adaptable waterfall back, which provides comfort and postural control for clients, a 50-stone weight capacity and 25-stone leg rest limit, combined with a 16” seat height option and extendable leg rests if required, Repose says the Arden is one of the most advanced bariatric chairs in the UK.
For increased comfort, there are a range of pressure management seat cushion options available which, when combined with the independent movements, ensure a significant reduction of pressure and pinch points.
To help ensure the Arden meets the exact requirements of the user, seat depth adjusters have been fitted to enable staff to fine tune the seating position.
Lisa Wardley, Managing Director of Repose Furniture, said: “We are delighted to be showcasing the Arden alongside other chairs from our extensive product portfolio at this year’s Care Show. We are continually investing in research and development to come up with new seating solutions tailored for the care industry.
“To have the opportunity to engage with so many key decision makers and demonstrate our chairs is invaluable to us as it is a great way of gathering feedback from people who are working in a care environment every day.”
The Repose team will be available to demonstrate all of its chairs at the 2019 Care Show, answer any questions and book future assessments.
