M+D Crutch Dan

“It became my mission to create something better for him, something that would truly improve his everyday life.”

Mobility Designed is redefining mobility with their new M+D Crutch. The patented crutches increase mobility options for crutch users.

M+D CrutchMobility Designed is redefining mobility with their patent pending crutch design. Unlike traditional crutches which put pressure on the armpits, the M+D Crutch evenly distributes body weight from the elbow to the forearm. In consumer tests, users reported less strain on their wrists and hands when using the crutches than with other crutches.

Co-founders Max and Liliana Younger were inspired to design the crutches by Max’s father, Dan, an above the knee amputee.

“I grew up seeing my dad on and off crutches due to multiple knee surgeries,” explains Max. “It became my mission to create something better for him, something that would truly improve his everyday life.”

The crutches will come in black or white. Additional features include a moveable handle for “Hands Free” walking, flexible arm straps, hinged arm support and feet that are interchangeable for different surfaces and absorb shock.

The M+D crutch is expected to be in the American market this August but the demand has been so overwhelming from consumers, they will begin taking pre-orders on their website www.mobilitydesigned.com from April 29th.
