New Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle designed in response to client feedback
Over the May bank holiday, wheelchair users, carers and occupational therapists attended the Brotherwood WAV Weekend event to see Brotherwood’s latest development designed in response to client feedback.
The event, which showcased the company’s range of Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles, saw those who currently own or are considering an adapted vehicle for the first time attend to get hands-on with the vehicles and receive expert advice.
At the show, the company showcased its latest addition to its WAV range, the Klastar Long; Brotherwood’s newest wheelchair-accessible iteration of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class.
The vehicle includes a full length, flat level lowered floor conversion with 57″ internal headroom, up to 6 seats, a remote-controlled electric powered access ramp with STORQ self-tensioning rear restraints, as well as a power-assisted combined winch and restraint system.
Held at the Haynes International Motor Museum, the UK’s largest collection of the greatest cars from around the world, visitors to show also received free hospitality, as well as a chance to see over 400 amazing cars and bikes including classic Bentleys and Rolls Royces.
