Nottingham on Call and Chiptech partnership image

Alarm monitoring service provider Nottingham on Call has appointed assistive technology specialist Chiptech to support its delivery of digital telecare.

Chiptech will now supply Nottingham on Call (NOC) with a new digital alarm product to offer greater reassurance to clients.

NOC provides a 24-hour, 365 days a year, care alarm monitoring service to thousands of people from its base in Bilborough, Nottingham. Its call centre serves the city of Nottingham with a dedicated local response service.

Its digital alarms and monitoring service now extends to clients across England.

Antony Dixon, Head of Nottingham on Call, said: “We have been looking to find products that work with our existing service, help us plan for digital transformation, and offer even greater reassurance to our customers. We’re confident that we have found something special in the Eva and we are very pleased to be working with a market leader in Chiptech to bring this product to our customers.”

Chiptech’s new product – EVA – will provide a better day-to-day experience for NOC’s customers, according to the company. It will also help to future-proof the service in advance of the analogue switchover to digital telecare services planned for 2025.

The EVA is a digital base unit that provides 24/7 support at home. It features up to 80 hours battery life, optional voice-guided installation, and over 300 metres peripheral range and advanced telecare peripherals.

In addition, EVA can be paired with a range of other equipment, designed to keep people with specific needs safe.

David Hammond, CEO of Chiptech, added:  “We are delighted to be working with Nottingham on Call, who have taken a lead in providing advanced digital telecare and personal safety solutions to their customers.

“Chiptech’s products are designed to support people in their independence and provide them with a feeling of reassurance, whether they are at home or out and about. The first-class service that NOC provides is perfectly aligned with our goals and core values, and we are proud to be working alongside them in this new partnership.”

EVA can also pair with Chiptech’s GO pendant alarm, which Chiptech already delivers for NOC. This means that the GO pendant can function as an all-in-one pendant for use both at home and when out in the community.

Earlier this month, Chiptech partnered with personal alarm provider Taking Care to develop a product offering that gives alarm users freedom to do what they love, with the peace of mind that help is on hand wherever they are.
