Ahead of Carers Week 2016, which runs from 6th-12th June, Leicester-based company NRS Healthcare are giving others the chance to celebrate carers they know by nominating them to win a prize during the NRS Healthcare Carer Awards 2016.

As a market-leader within the healthcare sector, NRS Healthcare have been established for almost 70 years and, as such, have made it their focus to continually evolve with the opportunities presented by digital media.

With an expanding digital team at their Head Office in Bardon, this year they have launched their first Carer Awards online. The contest itself will be hosted via a tab on the NRS Healthcare official Facebook page with supporting messaging from other online channels, including their blog and Twitter account.

amended facebook1st prize will be a £75 Amazon Gift Card, 2nd place will win a Batwing Pillow and Adjustable Bed Tray (perfect for breakfast in bed!) and the 3rd winner will receive an Adjustable Foot Stool to encourage them to put their feet up with a nice cup of tea.

“We’ve made the competition inclusive to both paid and unpaid carers as there are so many across the UK who work long hours whilst going above and beyond for the person they care for,” explains Digital Content Manager, Lexi Lomas.

“The idea behind the competition is really to say thank you for everything these carers do by nominating them and providing a token of appreciation. Whilst there will be three winners who walk away with a prize, we will also use our Facebook as a platform to name each carer who receives a nomination and publicly acknowledge their exceptional work with a digital badge.”

With the competition now live and running until Sunday 12th June 2016, NRS Healthcare are encouraging people to visit the “Contest” tab on their Facebook Page to nominate a worthy carer. Whether you work with a carer directly or know someone who goes the extra mile for the person they love, the team at NRS Healthcare want to hear your stories.
