Ability

Ability Superstore has partnered with The Silver Line charity to help educate about and combat loneliness amongst older people. The company is now giving customers the chance to donate to the charity when they purchase from its website.

The Silver Line is a free and confidential, 24-hour helpline, providing information, friendship and advice to older people, 365 days a year.

Over the last two years the charity has taken more than 660,000 calls.

Ability Superstore has introduced a designated area on its website’s checkout page where customers can choose to donate anything from 50p to £10 to The Silver Line, should they wish to. The online retailer has also been using its national reach to spread the word via social media channels, direct mail campaigns and product dispatch leaflets in its parcels. There is also a dedicated page about the charity on the website.

The company now has more than 12,000 healthcare and daily living aids on the website and also has a growing network of retail concessions, including a strong presence in all Boundary Mill Stores and many large garden centres across the country. Boundary Mill has stores in Rotherham, Newcastle, Walsall and Grantham.

The website for the company is www.abilitysuperstore.com
