Ottobock Kimba relaunch image

Mobility equipment specialist Ottobock UK is relaunching its popular children’s buggy, the Kimba, with a number of new and improved features from January 2022.

The fully supportive, postural and lightweight aluminium buggy features a new innovative tilt mechanism, recline adjustment, seat adapter, bigger storage basket, suspensions for the child comfort, folding lock and new colours.

Ottobock says its new design considers how every child is an individual with their own needs and requirements.

The Kimba has a full range of accessories and supports available along with innovative features, such as seat tilt-in-space and a full reclining back, which supports everyday activities, like feeding and changing. There is also an integrated storage basket that holds up to 15kg for storing additional equipment.

The Kimba colour scheme gives children the choice of four colour inlay options as well as a choice of two decal designs in three colour options to add to the frame. These are also reflective for added safety when out in early morning or evening.

Simon Tempest, Head of the Mobility Business Unit at Ottobock, commented: “The Kimba has been part of the Ottobock family of products for several years now and has remained unchanged, until now.

“Through our innovative Research and Development Department it was noted there were some areas on the Kimba that could be updated to bring a new look and feel to this popular buggy. With these areas in mind the changes were made and we feel this has improved the Kimba.”

The new Kimba will be available to order from January 2022 from Ottobock distributors.
