Joerns Healthcare Oxford Up imageShowcasing to attending occupational therapists why its latest product ensures minimal effort on the part of the carer, Joerns Healthcare, a manufacturer and national service provider of patient handling products to the healthcare sector, will be demonstrating its new Oxford Up at this year’s OT Show.

Revealed towards the end of September, the Oxford Up is a manual stand aid and seated transfer device, designed to support safe and efficient patient transfers and rehabilitation. Suitable for clients who require some assistance when standing but are able to participate in the process, the Up can play a supportive role in patient rehabilitation and independence.

The product has a maximum safe working load of 200kg and its high-grade castors offer easy manoeuvrability across a range of floor surfaces and ensure minimal effort on the part of the care-giver. It was designed with injury reduction and fall prevention in mind.

The soft moulded seat pads are contoured for comfort and can be swung away to allow access for the patient when standing and sitting. Where required, the Oxford Deluxe Standing Sling (with Clips) is available in three standard sizes and offers additional seated support.

Perfect positioning of both the swing-away seat pads and knee support help ensure optimum patient positioning. Adjustable legs and a contoured base allow improved access for the patient and promote better posture and ease of use.

All of these key features of the Oxford Up will be showcased by Joerns Healthcare on stand C20 at the 2019 OT Show, which takes place on the 27th-28th of November at the Birmingham NEC.
