“Seeing the difference my work delivers to disabled children and their parents is so rewarding.”

Theraposture, a specialist in assistive beds, chairs and care cots, has presented Occupational Therapist Dilys Whitehead with the winning prize from its OT Show competition.

As main sponsors of the OT Show’s new Paediatric Trail, Theraposture offered a free prize draw to win the latest iPad Air 2 at the NEC during November 2015. Healthcare professionals attending the event were invited to complete the Trail by registering on the stands of several exhibitors who had been recognised as paediatric product innovators. Theraposture adjustable cots and beds for disabled children were a key highlight on this Trail as stand D30 included the popular ‘future proof’ Mascot Mark 2 cot. Dilys Whitehead, Occupational Therapist for Nottinghamshire County Council, was one of the many therapists who entered the competition and was selected at random as the winner following the show.

Steve Keetley, Theraposture Trusted Assessor (Central Region) presented Dilys with her iPad 2 during December. Based in Mansfield, Dilys has been an OT for over 25 years and is a member of the Children’s Disability Service for Nottinghamshire County Council.

On receipt of her prize Dilys said: “I was delighted to receive my new iPad from Theraposture; it’s come as quite a shock. I have set it up over Christmas and will be using it more and more for work as I thoroughly enjoy my role. Seeing the difference my work delivers to disabled children and their parents is so rewarding. I specify high-sided Theraposture cots from time-to-time and have always been impressed with their quality.”
