On stand N11057 at Naidex, Ropox will be showcasing examples from its range of kitchen and bathroom solutions, all of which have been thoughtfully designed to be as user friendly as possible for people living with a reduced level of mobility and independence.

“Naidex provides us with the perfect opportunity to engage with users and their carers along with healthcare professionals and demonstrate our range of kitchen and bathroom solutions in a relaxed and friendly environment,” commented Peter Davies from Ropox.

For visitors looking for accessible kitchens, Ropox will be exhibiting a small example of its Flexi motorised worktop system, which is available in a choice of lengths up to three metres and can be used with any worktop.

The 300mm height adjustment provides a worktop height range of 690mm to 990mm, making it suitable for most wheelchair users and can be finished in a vast range of colours and materials to ensure it blends in seamlessly with most kitchen styles.

Complementing the frame will be an example from the Ropox range of adjustable wall units. Cupboard storage is an issue in many kitchens and while there may be a certain amount of space at ground level, raised cupboards can often be out of reach for people with restricted mobility.

However, with the Ropox range of wall cabinets, the cabinet goes to the user. On show will be the Verti Inside, which can be retro fitted within the shell of an existing cupboard unit, making it invisible from the outside. The electric shelves drop through the bottom of the unit at the switch of a button to enable the user to access plates or tins etc.

Additionally on show will be the Ropox height adjustable shower changing bed, which can be folded up when not in use and the height can be set to the ideal level for the user and carer via an easy-to-operate adjustment control.

To assist with toileting, Ropox has developed the Ropox Toilet Lifter, which lifts and lowers the user to and from a standing position. The ergonomic design of the unit and the integrated height adjustable arms ensure it is both easy to use and clean and helps the user maintain their dignity.

Alongside the Toilet Lifter will be a Swing Basin and two adjustable height basins – the Vanity and Standardline.

As with all Ropox products, the Swing Basin has been designed to meet the needs of the user and carer. The basin can be easily moved to within easy reach of the person on the toilet or in their wheelchair as it can swing and rotate 180˚ and the oval design allows it to be accessed from the front or side.

For users not requiring such an adjustable basin, the VanityLine and StandardLine offer “the perfect solution.” Both models are height adjustable and incorporate enough legroom for wheelchair users to comfortably access the basin.

Naidex 2019 takes place from the 26th-27th March at the NEC in Birmingham.
