People across Birmingham and Solihull were invited to join a remote meeting on the 16th of July to learn more about NHS Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and how it is improving health and wellbeing locally.

The remote meeting, which is held annually, covered the CCG’s successes during the past 12 months and discussed the group’s plans for the future.

The aim of the session was to inform residents about how their local NHS works, what the CCG is doing to improve health and wellbeing in the area and how it is working towards becoming a more integrated care system.

Attendees were also able to ask questions to a panel made up of Birmingham and Solihull CCG’s senior team.

NHS Birmingham and Solihull CCG became the largest CCG in England from April 2018, after NHS England approved the three Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Groups’ (CCGs) application to create a single CCG for Birmingham and Solihull.

Since then, Birmingham and Solihull CCG has aimed to deliver more joined-up patient care, tackle health inequalities in the area, and meet the health and wellbeing needs of residents.
