FastForm arm with water spray

Brace Orthopaedic has signed exclusive UK distribution rights to supply the highly innovative FastForm SCB, a successful orthopaedic solution, already established in North America.

FastForm is a hi-tech splint/cast/brace system (SCB) for the treatment of fractures and soft tissue trauma. Its unique technology ensures that the orthoses are highly adjustable, breathable and water-friendly – offering many clinical advantages when compared to traditional cast methods primarily used today.

“FastForm is a perfect fit for Brace Orthopaedic and I’m delighted that we have been chosen as the exclusive UK distributor,” commented Clive Mitchell, Managing Director of Brace Orthopaedic. “This highly innovative product range fits perfectly with our mission of making available new technologies to clinicians and enhanced compliance for patients.

“I believe it delivers significant benefits for both clinician and patient. It’s essentially a splint, cast and brace all within one product and I’m certain it’ll become the product of choice,” added Clive.

The FastForm technology is based on two state-of-the-art materials: PolyTrexX and DermaWick.

PolyTrexX is a highly conformable, biodegradable smart polymer system that can be moulded, with zero memory, to the perfect fit for the patient and it compensates as their recovery develops. The material is lightweight and water-resistant, so the patient is able to bathe/shower or even swim wearing the orthosis.

The DermaWick stretchable liner further enhances the comfort of FastForm products, leading to an improved patient healing experience. The liner acts as padding that is also breathable, designed to wick away moisture leaving the skin cool and dry to reduce itching and unpleasant odours.

Brace Orthopaedic is the only UK distributor for FastForm and offers three FastForm multi-functional orthosis products: Short Arm, Thumb Spica, and Universal Gutter. All are currently in stock and are available for ordering with next day delivery.

“I am delighted we have this golden opportunity to bring FastForm’s differentiated products to the UK market through a prestigious company like Brace Orthopaedic,” said David Sheehan, CEO of FastForm Ltd.

“Their experience selling added-value orthopaedic products and patient-centric focus coupled with their thorough, professional and responsible approach to doing business is in harmony with our own ethos.

“Together with Brace Orthopaedic we can improve the healing experiences of patients in the UK, and advance fracture management and soft tissue injury repair to the next level in patient care.”
