Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an engineer/technician to join our team of specialists.

You will be responsible for the installation of new stairlifts as well as carrying out repairs and routine servicing within our clients’ homes and business premises. As well as delivering and installing you will be able to ensure that they are confident with its usage. You will need to be able to quickly diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical faults as well as explaining how to avoid breakdowns and demonstrating best user practices to our often-elderly clients. Empathy, patience and a commitment to customer care are essential to the role.

As a member of our specialist team you will:

  • Service, install, and maintain equipment (for example mobility scooters, power chairs, Rise and Recline chairs, wheelchairs amongst others)
  • Complete comprehensive service reports
  • Transport equipment and fulfill deliveries to customers
  • Have good workmanship with high-quality standards
  • Be a natural problem solver with a can-do attitude
  • Be personable, friendly, and amiable
  • Your role is to make a difference in the lives of our customers, both new and those we have built relationships with over many years. This is a full-time role and you will be required to provide on-call support on a rota basis.

Key responsibilities

  • Service, install and maintain equipment (for example mobility scooters, power chairs, rise and recline chairs, wheelchairs) amongst others
  • Installation of straight and curved stairlifts
  • Perform routine servicing on stairlifts
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding to diagnose faults with a stairlift.
  • Undertaking routine maintenance on a range and age of manufactured lifts
  • Undertaking corrective maintenance processes, minor repairs, and servicing
  • Adhere to Easy Mobility’s safety procedures and policies
  • Liaise with your team colleagues in the day-to-day running of jobs
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports
  • Maintain good housekeeping and service standards on the sites you are responsible for
  • Participate in an out of hours on-call rota

Skills required

  • Commitment to first-class customer service

  • A proven track record within the stairlift industry is preferable
  • Punctual, honest, and reliable
  • High work ethic

  • A full driving license
