Independent physiotherapy provider Ascenti now has a network of more than 70 physiotherapists working from 35 clinics across Greater London with the opening of five new clinics.

Many of Ascenti’s clinics are conveniently located within gyms, health centres and office buildings, notes the company, making them accessible to a wide range of clients.

Alongside the opening of five new clinics, Ascenti clients can also benefit from a new exercise and rehabilitation app – PhysioNow – which helps treat musculoskeletal injury.

According to Ascenti, the PhysioNow app has been proven to improve short- and long-term outcomes for patients with musculoskeletal injuries such as back pain and to reduce the number of face-to-face physiotherapy sessions required to rehabilitate patients – helping to reduce unnecessary travel for customers and enhance business efficiencies for referrers.

The app was fully launched in August and has been used by more than 15,000 patients, with 95 percent of users endorsing the app and saying that they would recommend it to friends and family.

PhysioNow supports users throughout their journey to recovery by providing 24/7 access to expert advice and tailored exercise programmes from approved Ascenti clinicians, allowing them to track progress and compliance with their rehabilitation programme.

PhysioNow also offers digital triage and virtual physiotherapy consultation capabilities and is fully integrated with Ascenti’s bespoke patient workflow system. This integration offers a seamless patient journey for clients, says the company, whilst providing comprehensive reporting capabilities and additional efficiencies for referring businesses.

With extensive national coverage, Ascenti has over 300 highly trained physiotherapists delivering upwards of 600,000 treatment sessions annually.

Stephanie Dobrikova, CEO of Ascenti, commented: “Having lived and worked in London for many years myself, I know how important convenience and speedy access to treatment is for busy Londoners.

“We are leading the way when it comes to digitally-enabled physiotherapy and agile services, with 95% of the UK population living within five miles of an Ascenti clinic and more than 60% of our customers travelling two miles or less for treatment.

“PhysioNow enables patients to access our services at the touch of a button and with our expansive nationwide network, including our five new central London clinics, we are bringing the very best physiotherapy services closer to the nation.”
