New sanitaryware range to bring increased flexibility to installers and users
AKW has launched a new, contemporary sanitaryware range – Livenza Plus – to bring increased versatility and flexibility to installers and users.
Designed with style and functionality in mind, the range boasts sleek toilets, soft-close seats and modern basins alongside flush, seat and tap options to meet a range of client needs.
The toilet has a rimless pan, which helps prevent the build-up of bacteria, making it easier to clean. There is also a toilet seat option made from a highly durable, stain-resistant and easy-to-clean UF (Urea-Formaldehyde). The range’s basins have been designed with flat tap decks, making the surfaces easier to keep clean and their rounded edges also offer added protection in the event of any end user trips or falls.
Additionally, the Livenza Plus collection has been designed with ease of installation in mind. By including a bottom inlet water entry to simplify pipework when fitting the toilet and also incorporating a horizontal outlet to increase installation speed, the range is helpful for both users and installers.
The Livenza Plus is fully compliant with UK water and British Standard regulations. It has BS EN 997 approval for improved flush performance and an overflow pipe that has been increased to 300ml to meet current water regulation requirements, making it an efficient sanitaryware option.
The toilet also has a bottom water entry inlet with a one-piece, visible top-fill water inlet valve, with an all-round air gap.
Stuart Reynolds, Head of Product and Marketing at AKW, commented: “Our AKW Livenza Plus range takes our original Livenza range a step further. As well as being designed with safety and style in mind, the new range is also quick and easy to fit, has been approved for use on contract specification and can also be ordered as part of our ‘AKW One’ easy ordering service.
“Our focus on safety, style and ease of installation ensures that the Livenza Plus range is ideal for those who are looking for an independent living solution yet want a stylish addition to their bathroom or wet room.”
AKW has launched two accessible bathroom solutions this year – the AKW SmartCare Lever and the Onyx Care Pod.
AKW works closely with healthcare professionals to design and manufacture a full range of easy access showering, kitchens and mobility support products. The company’s clients include the majority of local authorities, housing associations as well as national and regional contractors.
