Providing quick and effective chairside fittings, the new Slimflex orthotics range from Algeos offers a cost-effective solution for clients with less complex conditions.

The Slimflex range incorporates neutral moulded Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) foam orthoses. These are designed for the addition of a new range of Slimflex ‘quick stick’ components, changing a flat neutral non-corrective device into a semi-functional corrective foot orthotic in minutes.

In addition, the new surface components and pre-cut posting wedges for biomechanical correction increase speed for lower level pathologies, adds Algeos.

This allows for simple adaptions for less complex conditions, and provides the flexibility to customise prefabricated orthotics extensively to the level required by the patient, not as determined by what’s included in the insole pack.

However, they do not replace traditional posting strips and orthotic additions as required by the clinician for more advanced intervention.

Other key features of the Slimflex range include a deep heel cup for greater control and the orthotics are fully heat mouldable and grindable.

Algeos says that it is passionate about its clinical approach to orthotic treatment and has invested heavily in product development and supporting education.
