OTs enjoy educational CPD seminars on safe transfers into and out of beds

Theraposture has reported its most successful OT Show ever with “impressive” numbers of occupational therapists (OTs) attending its stand last week for free educational seminars and Rotoflex bed demonstrations.

The assistive technology supplier Theraposture exhibited its adjustable beds, rotating Rotoflex bed range, paediatric care cots, and Theracare Leg Lifter. OTs were able to experience live demonstrations of these products while benefiting from free CPD education.

Presented by OT Shaun Masters the ‘Getting legs into bed’ seminars on the Theraposture stand attracted many professionals. These CPD sessions explored key considerations regarding a safe transfer into, out of, and away from a bed.

From a clinical point of view, Shaun demonstrated why a Theracare Leg Lifter and the Rotoflex can be appropriate for improved occupational performance in a variety of client scenarios. The Rotoflex previously won the OT Show ‘Excellence in Caring’, as voted for by a panel of independent OTs.
