Hannah Cockroft MBE recently visited Invacare UK and was presented with a new Top End OSR race chair in preparation for the World Championships in Dubai.

Invacare has been supporting Hannah for the last five years and is delighted to continue with sponsorship of the ten-time World Champion and Paralympic Gold medallist. Hannah won two Gold medals in London 2012, three Gold medals in Rio 2016 in the T34 category and is looking to repeat her success in Tokyo 2020.

Hannah’s new Top End OSR features carbon fibre front forks with an aerodynamic, sleek frame designed to deliver optimum performance on the track. The product was supplied by Draft Wheelchairs, Invacare’s partner for Top End, which has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in customised race products.

Showing her appreciation, Hannah commented: “It’s great to have Invacare’s support going into my fifth World Championships. We made some reasonably big changes in the positioning of the new chair, which has made huge differences in my speeds and hopefully will have a positive impact on my times once we get on the track!

“I’m really lucky to have the expertise of the team to help get these changes right and make sure they complement the training I do to be the best in the World.”

During the visit, Hannah, along with her partner Nathan McGuire, spent a full day meeting with all members of staff at Invacare.

Mike Farrell, Managing Director of Invacare, commented: “We are extremely pleased to support world‐class Paralympian Hannah and to help achieve her ambitions. She is an inspiration to so many people and we are very proud to be a part of Hannah’s success.”
