An engaging portable rehabilitation solution will enable physiotherapists and occupational therapists to easily take the device with them when visiting patients. It is available on a free two-week trial to clinicians to ensure its suitability.

The Smart Pegboard, available in the UK from Baffin Technology Systems, has been designed to assist people who are undergoing rehabilitation following a stroke or have reduced hand-eye coordination due to a disability or brain injury.

There are 15 different therapy games available with the Smart Pegboard to meet the needs of a wide range of users. This also enables the therapist to keep the sessions fresh by trying out new activities.

By providing audio and visual feedback, the system gently motivates the user through fun, game-based training and can be used by all age groups.

The high intensity LED lights provide the user with visual cues to help indicate where they should place the peg. Audio feedback then tells the user how they are progressing.  Additional sound effects prompt the user during the session.

The Baffin team can arrange a free face-to-face assessment and demonstration at a time that is convenient to the potential user and anyone else involved in their therapy or rehabilitation.

Marzena Komisarczuk, the founder of Baffin Technology Systems, commented: “We are always looking for new additions to our portfolio which could aid our clients with their ongoing therapy or rehabilitation programmes and the Smart Pegboard is a fantastic example of such a product.

“The fact it can be easily transported is another great feature as it means therapists can use it with more than one patient.”
