The team at Repose Furniture was delighted to be involved in the recent filming of DIY SOS: The Big Build in the South West of England.

National Sales Manager Helena Elcocks was contacted by the production team as they were looking for a bespoke seating solution for the owner of the property which was being revamped by the DIY SOS team.

“When I received the call and they explained what they were trying to achieve and what a difference one of our chairs would make to the owner of the home I knew we had to do all we could to help make his dream a reality” commented Helena.

Following several conversations with the team involved in the project, Helena decided that the best solution would be a C-Air which features a dynamic frame and design that offers a solution to the ever-changing demands of individual care requirements, efficiency and infection control. The C-air is a highly versatile rise recliner available in a range of sizes with an option of six different back styles to ensure the chair meets the specific needs of the user. From a deeply comfortable waterfall back with cushions that can be positioned for individual comfort to lateral styles that support the back in a midline position the C-air has been designed to offer superb levels of comfort. The C-air can also be purchased with interchangeable seat cushions to address specific pressure care challenges and comes with removable covers for ease of cleaning and maintenance. All the materials used are manufactured from a range of specialist pressure care materials ensuring different posture, positioning and pressure managements requirements can be catered for, making it ideal from a patient and carer’s perspective.

Prior to delivery, the chair was finished in Panvelle stretch Indigo inner on the seat back and legs while the inner arm, wings and tops of the arms were finished in a highland silver out – all of which are high end healthcare fabrics.

Helena attended the final day of the project with Managing Director Lisa Wardley and both were delighted to see their generous donation in the finished home and also hear from the family about what a difference the chair would make. “I would urge anyone who is contact by DIY SOS to get involved. It was a hugely rewarding experience for everyone here at Repose and I am delighted that we were able to help DIY SOS complete their latest project” commented Lisa.

The edition featuring Repose will be aired on BBC1 later this year.
