A UK manufacturer of bespoke adjustable chairs and beds, Rise & Recline will be debuting two new chairs at the OT Show this month.

Taking place from 24th-25th November 2021 at the NEC in Birmingham, the OT Show is an annual exhibition for occupational therapists (OTs). It gives them the chance to discover new assistive technologies from exhibitors, get CPD-accredited experience by attending workshops and lectures, and network with other OTs

On stand D59 next week, Rise & Recline will be showcasing its new Infinity and Infinity Plus chairs to OTS, who play a key role in assessing and prescribing products to clients.

Director Nigel Morley and National Sales Manager Craig Negri will be available to demonstrate these latest products and answer any questions.

Nigel Morley, Director of Rise & Recline, commented: “We are delighted to be showcasing these latest two additions to our product portfolio at The OT Show.  OT’s play a vital role in the assessment and prescribing of our products so to have the opportunity to engage with so many from around the UK, demonstrate our latest two chairs and discuss our full product range in a relaxed atmosphere will be invaluable to us as a business.”

The Infinity has a maximum user weight of 25 stone and is available with a comprehensive range of standard features, which include a leg rest weight limit of 15 stone, independent direct drive foot section operation, and automatic back relief whilst the user moves to a standing position. It offers clients a broad choice of postural positions with the tilt-in-space function being used in a variety of ways, depending on the requirements of the user.

Should someone require no movement in the footrest or backrest, the Infinity can be used as a simple tilt-in-space chair. However, should the user prefer to maintain a seat-to-back angle while reclining and elevating their feet and hips, the single motor tilt-in-space can achieve this. By using the dual tilt-in-space, the client can enjoy independent leg rest and back movement while also benefitting from automatic back relief by having a straighter postural position when aligning the chair.

Additional features include detachable seat and leg rest wraps for ease of cleaning, five back and arm rest design options, left- or right-sided handset holding loop and carers’ loop, and an emergency battery back-up.

Complementing the Infinity will be the new Infinity Plus, which incorporates all the features found in the Infinity but with an increased maximum user weight capacity of 40 stone, with a maximum dynamic leg rest capacity of 25 stone.
