UK pressure ulcer specialist, Rober, will launch the new NoDec WIZARD at this year’s Arab Health show. The advanced pressure ulcer mattress has been developed specifically for patients who are critically ill or in intensive care, preventing pressure injuries developing because of immobility.

The dynamic system, which mechanically replicates a body’s natural spontaneous movement, also features therapeutic technology that promotes the healing of established ulcers.

The device has a three-cell cycle that moves up and down in a wave-like motion, providing regular pressure elimination to all parts of the body in contact with the mattress.

It also features a tilt function that laterally rotates the patient from left or right on either a continuous or programmed 6-hour basis.

The slow and controlled tilt transfers the body support laterally, thus changing contact points as well as assisting with pulmonary functions and reducing the requirement for manual handling.

Developed with clinicians, the company says that mattress will mean anyone nursed upon it will require less manual positioning because the mattress is fully automatic.

The WIZARD is part of Rober’s new pressure ulcer mattress range, which focuses on four key areas – microclimate control, patient safety and comfort, maximising infection control and offering additional nursing support.

It also includes additional features such as a touchscreen visual display panel, comfort settings, timed static mode, audible & visual alarms and permanently inflated side formers.

Arab Health will take place from 30th January to 2nd February 2017 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre. Throughout the show, Rober will be located on stand Z1 F13.
