Wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) specialist Lewis Reed will be showcasing the “luxury” Mercedes V-Class Grande on stand G42 at this year’s OT Show and is looking to build new relationships with attending occupational therapists.

The headroom space in the V-Class Grande has been increased from 53” to 57”, giving wheelchair users greater space and comfort inside the vehicle. Available in two models – the Sport and AMG line – the WAV is fitted with an extra-long wheelbase as standard.

Every vehicle supplied by Lewis Reed is bespoke to ensure it meets the requirements of the individual, which can vary massively from one client to the next. The V-Class Grande comes with a comprehensive range of control options and flexible seating positions to offer practical solutions for users, and their carer and family.

In addition, the adaptable floor mounted rail system is quick and easy to use, providing a choice of up to six passenger seating and wheelchair positions.

To ensure entering and exiting the vehicle is as easy as possible, the V-Class Grande is fitted with electric sliding doors on both sides. A side lift is also available as an option.

For wheelchair access, the large automatic powered tailgate opens to enable a remote-controlled rear lift or lowered floor and lowering suspension.

Peter Scullion, Managing Director of Lewis Reed, said: “Occupational Therapists play an integral role in the specifying of many of the vehicles we supply and are therefore vital to us as a company.

“The OT Show provides us with a fantastic opportunity to showcase our range of vehicles including the Mercedes V-Class Grande to OT’s from across the UK in a friendly and relaxed environment and myself and the rest of the Lewis Reed team are looking forward to catching up with OT’s we have worked with in the past as well and forging new relationships.”
