West Faversham Community Centre – last year’s winner of the Cosyfeet Community Project Award

Cosyfeet, a specialist in extra roomy footwear for swollen feet, has announced its annual Community Project Award 2019 with a prize of £750.

The award is available to registered charities or not-for-profit organisations working on community projects within Britain that support and enrich older people’s lives.

Many of Cosyfeet’s customers are over 65, an age group often affected by loneliness and isolation, so each year, the company supports an initiative with the Cosyfeet Community Project Award.

“Our award is available to community projects that benefit older people and provide them with a sense of community,” said Cosyfeet Managing Director Andrew Peirce. “We support projects that offer practical and emotional support, keep older people active or give them the chance to socialise.”

West Faversham Community Centre was the proud winner of last year’s Cosyfeet Community Project Award. The £750 award funded the purchase of three Samsung Galaxy tablets, which local teenagers now use to teach older people how to communicate online.

To enter the Cosyfeet Community Project Award 2019, people can apply online here or call for an application form on 01458 447275.

The deadline for entries is the 31st July 2019 and the winning initiative will be announced in September 2019.
