Anglia Stairlifts teams up with experienced OT to provide support with customer assessments
Yaxley based Anglia Stairlifts has teamed up with a leading occupational therapist – Karen Forbes of Proactivity OT Ltd – to provide support when conducting assessments and discussing possible stairlift and homelift options with customers.
Karen’s areas of expertise include the management of occupational therapy services and transformation of services and she has a vast experience in working with DFG (Disabled Facilities Grant) adaptations within the home having worked in numerous local authorities and within the private sector in the UK.
Over the years, Karen has dealt with many major adaptations which have included the assessments for and installation of stairlifts, level access showers and home extensions ramps to help individuals maintain their independence and live safely in their own home.
Steve Wilson, Director, Anglia Stairlifts said that he is delighted to announce the agreement with Karen. He said: “Having worked together in the past I have seen first-hand, how knowledgeable Karen is and I know this is going to benefit Anglia Stairlifts and our customers in the Peterborough area.”
In addition to assessments, Karen will also be on hand to offer customers of Anglia Stairlifts advice and guidance on any specific needs regarding their disability and any other solutions which may be available to help them with their daily independence.
Karen commented: “Through a robust assessment process, and in conjunction with Anglia Stairlifts, I’m confident that we can find a stairlift solution or make relevant recommendations to ensure the client can live safely and independently at home.
“Having known Steve for several years, I am very excited about the prospect of working with him and the rest of the team as they share my ethos of believing that a stairlift has to meet the specific needs of the user and not just ‘tick the boxes’ from a sales perspective.”
