Mobility equipment supplier Rehasense UK launched its latest products – the Power Assisted Wheelchair Systems (PAWS), Track Wheel and the Icon 35 – at last week’s Naidex, all of which, it says, were a huge hit with dealers, end users and OT’s visiting the show.

Lee French, Managing Director, Rehasense UK commented: “It was great to finally be able to meet people from our three core markets from around the UK under one roof and showcase the latest additions to the Rehasense UK product range.

“The feedback which the PAWS, Track Wheel and Icon 35 had received prior to the show had been positive but the fantastic response we received over the two days was beyond our expectations and certainly made attending the event worthwhile.

“We also used the event to debut the latest twin arm version of the Track Wheel which also proved very popular.

“Not only did we have the opportunity to engage with exiting retailers but we are also looking to grow our dealer network and we has some very good conversations with potential partners and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the organisers.”

Launched in July 2021, there are three Power Assisted Wheelchair Systems (PAWS) models available, the Cruiser, City and Tourer.

According to Rehasense, PAWS requires no frame alteration or additional add-ons to the wheelchair and will be available this summer.

The ‘City’ has a 12” or 14” wheel and is designed primarily for use around town, while the Cruiser has a larger 16” wheel for rougher terrain. The off-road Tourer has a 20” wheel and 4” fat tyre for increased clearance and manoeuvrability.

Launched in May 2021 and weighing 2.6kg, the Track Wheel transforms a standard active wheelchair into an agile tricycle to enable wheelchair users to experience greater freedom.

The Icon 35 transportable lightweight wheelchair range was launched in March 2021. At just 8.2kg, the Icon 35BX features an ergonomic seat and back angle for a superb seating position.

Meanwhile, the Icon 35LX, which weighs 9kg, it is fitted with enhanced ergonomic seating, back upholstery and adjustable arm rests for increased support and pressure relief if required.
