Assistive technology specialist Contacta has announced a two-year partnership with the UK’s largest hearing loss charity, Action on Hearing Loss, supporting those with hearing impairments to live in inclusive environments.

Contacta has been selected as the charity’s exclusive supplier of assistive listening technology, meaning the company will respond to enquiries the charity receives each year from individuals and businesses looking to install a system.

Head of New Business Development at Contacta Ran Meyrav said: “We are delighted to announce this partnership with Action on Hearing Loss.  Having worked with them for so long we understand their values and their aims for people with a hearing impairment.

“We look forward to being able to support their work further and creating life-changing, inclusive spaces.”

Action on Hearing Loss works with people throughout the UK so people with hearing loss are supported and can live a fulfilling life.

Its work includes providing high-quality support and care so people with hearing impairments have their needs met.

The charity also funds research to find a cure for hearing loss and encourages the take-up of new technology and medical treatments to help manage the condition.

Chief Executive of Action on Hearing Loss Mark Atkinson concluded: “We are very excited about this latest stage in our relationship with Contacta.

“They have a high level of expertise and great range of experience, from the largest to the smallest projects.  This partnership will open up new opportunities for us as a charity to transform work and leisure spaces but also to help develop new products with the knowledge that we and our beneficiaries have.”
