Customisable electric balance wheelchair will launch at Naidex
Bespoke powerchair supplier Precision Rehab will launch the iBOT duo electric balance wheelchair at this year’s Naidex 2025, which takes place at Birmingham’s NEC from 19-20 March.
Precision Rehab will also display the iBOT PMD on stand NDX-B150, which is making its UK exhibition debut, along with other models from the Precision Rehab powerchair portfolio.
Designed to tackle most terrains, including mud, gravel, and tarmac, the iBOT duo can travel over thresholds of up to 7cm so doorways, steps, and kerbs are not an obstacle either around the home or when out travelling.
Based on a two-wheel chassis, the iBOT duo uses gyroscopic technology, which allows the ability to ensure comfort and is capable of a top speed of almost 10mph.
The duo has two driving speeds with individual settings and has a cruise control mode. To accommodate various levels of mobility and dexterity, the duo has a tiller steering system that can be stowed left or right for easy transfers. In addition, the duo has side supports that are foldable to aid easy transfers.
People will have the opportunity to personalise their iBOT duo as there will be a range of colours and design options available.
Matthew James, Co-Founder and Director of Precision Rehab, commented: “The iBOT duo is a great addition to our product portfolio and is ideal for full time wheelchair users and people that are still relatively mobile but are unable to walk long distances. Built for independence and designed to support your lifestyle, the iBOT duo is the mobility solution with a difference.
“By launching the iBOT duo at Naidex we can showcase it to three of our core markets – trade, healthcare professionals and end-users.”
