Medstrom Navigating Pressure Ulcer Litigation Event - Webinar Banner

Medstrom, a UK manufacturer of specialist hospital beds, is hosting a free CPD-accredited event for healthcare professionals that will explore the complex and often challenging topic of pressure ulcer litigation.

Entitled ‘Navigating pressure ulcer litigation: A first-hand insight into coroner’s court cases’, the event can be attended online or in person on 5 June.

The online event will take place from 10.30am-11.30am. The in-person event will take place from 10am-3pm at Medstrom’s Clinical Academy in Castle Donington.

This session is open to all healthcare professionals looking to enhance their understanding of pressure ulcer litigation, improve patient care practices, and build confidence in navigating the legal aspects of clinical decision-making.

It will be led by three respected experts in tissue viability, each offering a wealth of knowledge and firsthand experience.

The experts are Professor Steven Jeffery, Medical Director – Consultant Burns and Plastic Surgeon, Pioneer Private Care; Professor David Gray, Executive Nurse Director – Nurse Consultant Tissue Viability; and Alison Parnham, BSc (Hons), MSc Health and Social Care – Clinical Nurse Specialist in Tissue Viability. Alison is available in person only.

Questions can be raised in the remaining part of the webinar with all speakers.

For in-person attendees, Alison’s session will include a live mock-up of a coroner’s court to realise firsthand what it would be like to attend and give evidence. This is an opportunity for clinicians to experience the atmosphere of a coroner’s court in a less stressful environment.

In-person spaces are limited, but online registration is available until the day of the event without limitation. Medstrom is encouraging healthcare professionals to register now to secure their place.
