Free moving and handling training event for OTs in Kent
Safe patient moving and handling specialist Care & Independence is inviting local occupational therapists (OTs) to join in with its free training event.
The course content, delivered over a three-and-a-half-hour period, covers sizing-related issues, sling selection, hoist considerations and fitting techniques.
Care & Independence Training Event South will take place on Tuesday 5 July 2022, at the Doubletree by Hilton at Dartford Bridge, Kent, between 9.30am-1pm.
By attending, OTs will understand the risk factors associated with fitting techniques in moving and handling.
Steve Watson, National Sales Assessment Manager with over 25 years’ real-world experience within the industry of solving complex problems and an enviable knowledge of sling equipment, will deliver the event joined by regular circuit presenter and Moving & Handling Specialist Melanie Furness.
Steve commented: “This is a great opportunity to get hands-on practical training alongside theory for any OT or professional responsible for a disabled, elderly or infirm person requiring sling-based care assistance.
“It counts towards your Continued Professional Development – and we’ve got complementary refreshments too!”
A practical session with course handouts will be provided to all delegates.
