Ropox Naidex success image

Accessible bathroom and kitchen solutions supplier Ropox has reported a “hugely successful” Naidex 2022 with its assistive technology range proving popular with users and healthcare professionals.

Ropox showcased a number of accessible solutions from its range, including a cost-effective bathtub, mobile changing bed, and heigh-adjustable wash basin.

The firm’s height-adjustable Bathtub “stole the show”, which was praised for being affordable while still giving users a high-quality and comfortable solution.

Ropox’s Mark Sadler remarked: “This year’s Naidex was very successful for us. Over the two days, we engaged with many end users, healthcare professionals and members of the trade and the standard of enquiries was extremely high across all three groups.

“Our Bathtub without doubt generated the most interest as it offers a very cost-effective solution for people who are unable to shower. The height can be adjusted from 61cm to 91cm using an electrical control which enables the user to be comfortably transferred from the bath to a changing bench. This also reduces the need for manual handling.

“Available in three sizes; 160cm, 170cm and 180cm, the Bathtub is suitable for children and adults and all models have a depth of 40cm.”

The Ropox mobile shower/changing bed also proved popular with visitors. This height-adjustable bed is designed to make changing safe and comfortable for the user and their carer. There are two version available: a folding nursing bench that has a 70cm height adjustment, and a moveable bench that has a 40cm height adjustment.

Also on show was the height-adjustable SwingLine Wash Basin. It has been ergonomically designed to ensure it will fit in the smallest of rooms along with the height-adjustable QuickWash basin, which comes forward from the wall. This ensures the user does not have to bend or reach from their wheelchair, which can cause a negative effect on their posture.

The QuickWash basin has helped one man live more independently, as the basin is very lightweight when lowering it, requiring very little effort.
