Last month saw the return of RISE Expo, where hundreds of health and social care professionals benefitted from engaging educational conference presentations and practical workshops alongside the chance to view some of the latest and greatest assistive technology solutions for clients.

RISE Expo is the largest disability exhibition and conference in the South East, held at the Kent Event Centre.

More than 100 exhibitors showcased some of the leading and latest innovations in disability equipment provision to a bustling hall of delegates that were all keen to engage, learn and connect after two years of restrictions.

Topics that the educational conference presentations and practical workshops covered comprised of moving and handling, occupational therapy integration, housing and adaptations, children’s services, care, and more.

Francesca Kavanagh, from West Sussex County Council, commented: “The event was amazing and provided insight into the new emerging processes, aids, equipment and role of occupational therapy.”

The annual event was also popular among service users and families who were able to enjoy a day of product research, inclusive have-a-go activities, and informative content.

RISE Expo delivers an excellent platform for organisations to showcase their products and services to an audience of both healthcare professionals and service users.

Those that were unable to attend the event in person will have access to recorded highlights across the various conference theatres. Content will be available in the coming weeks. In order to access the content, sign up to the RISE mailing list to be the first to hear when this is available.

Recently, one of the UK’s major outsourced assistive technology service providers to the NHS and local authorities, NRS Healthcare, recently showcased its new technology-enabled care (TEC) service to over 100 prescribers at RISE Expo 2022.

Following the success of RISE Expo 2022, the team is already preparing for its return on Tuesday 12 September 2023.

Additionally, RISE is planning an exciting move to London next year with its brand-new Disability Expo event, expected to arrive at ExCel London in June 2023.
