Latest CPD assisted bathing education available to healthcare professionals at upcoming OTAC event
In association with award-winning Abacus Specialist Bathroom Solutions, Adam Ferry, Occupational Therapist, will be presenting a new CPD-accredited seminar at OTAC Midlands next week which focuses on the importance of bathing for positive sleep and routines.
Bathing and Sleep – joining the dots

Synopsis
Bathing assessments often become focused on the physical transfer of getting in and out of the bath. This CPD session explores the occupation of bathing with a particular focus on how bathing can support sleep and positive routines. Adam will discuss the impact on children and their parents as well as adults and their carers.

Adam is an independently practicing OT who helps deliver the nationwide Abacus CPD training programme and ‘Lunch and Learn’ assisted bathing workshops.
In addition to attending his OTAC seminar, healthcare professionals will be able to gather evidence-based bathing case studies, guides to DFG bath funding and details regarding Abacus ‘Lunch and Learn’ assisted bathing workshops.
The longer and wider Gemini 2000 platform bath with unique dual lift functionality will be available at the show for visitors to understand its future proofed design. This pioneering approach to bathing helped the Gemini 2000 achieve the Excellence in Caring Award at last year’s OT Show.
OTAC Midlands is taking place on the 22nd of January 2020 at the Drayton Manor Hotel, Drayton Bassett, B78 3TW, from 9am-4pm.
