Transportable mobility scooter that promises “more inclusion and equality” will launch at Naidex
A new easy-to-disassemble mobility scooter will launch at Naidex next week, where disabled users can test the product for themselves and healthcare professionals can find out more about how the device seamlessly tackles tricky terrains.
The new transportable Zest S scooter will be available to test on nationwide mobility product specialist TGA’s Naidex mobility test track at the NEC on 6 and 7 July 2022.
The four-wheel, 4mph Zest S is the latest upgraded Zest model to be introduced by TGA. Zest scooters offer a compact choice with the ability to disassemble to fit in a car boot, while still providing a smooth and stable ride.
Taking owner diversity and comfort to the next level, TGA says, the S model has an increased user weight capacity of up to 26.5 stone and a larger ‘Captain’s seat’.
Quickly assembled from six easy-to-lift pieces, once ready to go, the user can expect an 18-mile battery range and responsive suspension. New features include an ‘infinite’ adjustable tiller for a more personalised driving position, and a USB socket for device charging on the move.
Redesigned fingertip controls mean the device is easier use, and, when coupled with the Zest’s renowned compact turning circle, the user can enjoy “hassle-free” movement while using the product.
The new Zest S promises “more inclusion and equality” for a larger range of people as Daniel Stone, TGA Managing Director, summarised: “Being able to get out and move around freely is important for everyone’s mental health and wellbeing, whatever they are doing.
“Our new Zest has been specifically designed for that reason – to be flexible so whether you have driven to the shops, on a coastal walk or travelling by train, you have the adaptability and individualised reassurance you need.”
TGA will also be launching the new folding WHILL F powerchair alongside the Zest S at Naidex on stand F70.
As well as the new mobility launches, TGA will be providing a product showcase and integrated test drive course where visitors will be able to talk about their lifestyle needs and experience first-hand what it is like to drive mobility scooters, powerchairs and wheelchairs over different terrains.
With the help of TGA mobility advisors, Naidex visitors will be able to decide on the best mobility solution for them, enabling confidence, independence and peace of mind.
