Rise & Recline, a UK manufacturer and distributor of adjustable chairs and beds, will be launching two new products on stand NDX-E160 at Naidex 2025 for healthcare professionals to view, the Barrowford Riser and the Eco Swivel Rise & Recliner.

The new Barrowford Riser means users can be effortlessly lifted while remaining in the seated position, which is excellent for posture and reduces the need for manual handling by a family member or carer.

The fully electric lifting mechanism that lifts the whole chair, including the arms, is a “brand-new concept” according to Rise & Recline, as it keeps the arms in place therefore generating a better lift position and support for alighting the chair.

The Barrowford Riser has a maximum lift capacity of 20 stone and a lift range of 4.5” at the front and 11”at the back. For peace of mind, a full wireless battery back-up system is available.

Available in small, medium, and large, the Barrowford Riser comes with either a natural or mahogany wood finish and a comprehensive choice of materials from fabric to leather.

Complementing the Barrowford Riser will be the new Eco Swivel Rise & Recliner, a modern swivel chair that will turn 180 degrees in each direction and smoothly move the user to a standing position. The Eco Swivel has a unique locking mechanism set at 180 degrees to prevent the power or battery cables from becoming wrapped around the chair base when in use.

To ensure the user can obtain the optimum seating position, there are four independent motors which control the following functions: pure tilt-in-space recline, which ensures zero friction and sheer; independent back recline; independent leg movement; and a headrest. All functions are controlled from a stylish, ergonomic handset.

For peace of mind, a full wireless battery back-up system is available, and there is a lift lock to prevent the chair swivelling when lifting.

To ensure the Eco Swivel will blend into any domestic environment, there is an extensive choice of covers from fabric to leather, waterproof, and Crib 5 fire retardant. The finishing touch is a choice of either a stylish round chrome or spider foot base.

Taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from 19-20 March 2025, Naidex is a large independent living and mobility exhibition in the UK that welcomes a large number of users, health and social care professionals, and the trade each year. It is a place for visitors to source the latest in assistive technology from suppliers.
