Upcoming CPD-accredited event for OTs on arthritis and its impact on occupational performance
Accessible toilet installer Closomat is hosting the final of a three-part clinical webinar series this March aimed at occupational therapists (OTs) and other professionals, with a free CPD-accredited event on arthritis.
The one-hour ‘Arthritis: Activity, impacts, maximising independence’ webinar will be delivered by senior Occupational Therapist and Director at the OT Service, Adam Ferry, on 11 March at 4pm, 13 March at 11am, and 24 March at 2pm.
The webinar learning objectives include developing a greater understanding of arthritis and its impact on occupational performance; considering activity analysis and the effect on recommendations; reviewing design and modification options to maximise independence; and reflecting on legislation and guidance to support clinical reasoning and funding options.
Robin Tuffley, Marketing Manager at Closomat, said: “There are thought to be 10 million people with some form of arthritis in the UK. So, this is an important webinar, relevant to all clinical practitioners who will almost certainly have clients who are living with the condition. Our clinical webinars have proven to be extremely popular over the past few years, and we expect this one to be very well subscribed.
“Adam has over 20 years’ experience, in both local authority and private practice, and is an expert in the delivery of clinical specifications and adaptations for people living with arthritis. It will be an extremely informative session that we hope will help many more professionals and the clients they support.”
The Society of Tissue Viability will host a webinar about pressure ulcer treatment and fire risks for clinicians, presented by BES Healthcare, in March 2025.
