Microlink, NHS Employers Disability Summit event partner, is running free assistive technology brunches to help support disabled staff in the workplace.

The first round of TechEdology brunches is taking place in Liverpool on 22 November at 9am-12.30pm and in Belfast on 23 November at 9am-12.30pm. Those interested in the event can find out more here. Further sessions will take place across the UK in 2024, with dates to be confirmed.

These free, half-day sessions will provide an opportunity to learn about the latest assistive technology and how it can be used in the workplace. The sessions will also provide an opportunity for the assistive technology community to come together and network with like-minded professionals from all sectors.

Snappy group presentations will cover a wide range of topics from six assistive technology specialists, with the opportunity to visit the individual app stations for one-to-one demonstrations and discussions.

The sessions are open to all NHS staff, both clinical and non-clinical, and at all levels. The events may be of interest to disabled staff, those wanting to support disabled colleagues, and to those working with technology, such as IT professionals.

Attendees will have access to free CPD to help provide the best support for students and staff and have the chance to connect with presenters and others in the group.

The event is accessible event for those with hearing, sight or physical disabilities.
