The Helping Hand Company, which manufactures a range of mobility and disability products, and Symmetrikit, a postural care specialist, are officially unveiling two new products at the OT Show 2024 on stand D43.

The first product that is newly launching is the SymmetriSeat 50. This versatile seating solution is compatible with most transfer aids, ensuring that users of all abilities can be positioned correctly, whether they are mobile or require additional support. It features SymmetriSleep technology within the chair’s backrest, which supports both maintaining and correcting posture.

The second product that will be available for occupational therapists (OTs) to view is the EZY-FIT Raised Toilet Seat. This innovative product combines three height options – 2”, 4”, and 6” – in a single unit. It features secure, easy-to-use fixings that are compatible with a wide variety of toilet shapes, including square and elongated designs.

Mitch Preedy, Commercial Manager at The Helping Hand Company, said: “We’ve actively listened to feedback from the market and clinical experts over the past few years. This has enabled us to identify opportunities to create quality products that not only enhance the quality of life for users but also simplify the decision-making process for retailers and prescribers. Our aim is to develop solutions that meet a wide range of needs in a single product.”

This year’s OT Show takes place on 27-28 November at the NEC in Birmingham. It offers the opportunity for OTs to view the latest assistive technologies from across the healthcare sector with educational and comprehensive free CPD opportunities.

Mitch added: “We’re extremely excited to introduce these two products under The Helping Hand Company and Symmetrikit brands. We have samples available, and our teams are ready to support trials and assessments.”

Also of interest to attending OTs, The Occupational Therapy Service is presenting a free on-stand CPD seminar at the OT Show called ‘More than just numbers: How to manage and reduce your occupational therapy DFG waiting list’. Find out more here.
